Congratulations on deciding to run in the 2017 ASUCI Spring Elections! This is an exciting opportunity to become an involved leader on your campus and in your community.

The ballot for this election will include positions for:

  1. Student Advocate General

  2. Executive Officer Seats:

    1. (President, Internal Vice President, External Vice President, Student Services Vice President, and Academic Affairs Vice President)

  3. Senate Seats

    1. At-Large [7] , Arts [1], Biological Sciences [2], Business [1], Education [1], Engineering [2], Humanities [1], ICS [2], Nursing [1], Pharmaceutical Science [1], Physical Science [1], Public Health [1], Social Ecology [2], Social Science [4], International Senator [1], Transfer Senator [1], and First Year Senator [1].

    2. Candidacy for International and Transfer Senator seats are available in the Elections Packet. First Year Senators will be appointed by the Senate.

It is important to understand that candidates CANNOT begin campaigning until candidacy has been declared, this includes booking spaces on Ring Road through the Student Center. Note that it is the responsibility of the candidate to familiarize themselves with the Elections Code and understand the rules and regulations outlined within it. It is also crucial for All candidates to adhere to the Posting Policies outlined by UCI’s Student Life & Leadership (Please refer to the Posting Policies Tab on this webpage). It is the responsibility of the candidate to consistently be up to date with the information posted on the Elections webpage and to attend the Mandatory Candidates Meeting to be held on Tuesday, April 4th, at 7PM. More information regarding the meeting will be sent out as the date approaches.

Good luck on your campaign and remember ALL deadlines are final and non-compliance to them is a violation of the Elections Code.

The DEADLINE to declare candidacy is Friday, March 17th at 5PM. If you have further questions feel free to email the Election Commissioner at elections@asuci.uci.edu or attend office hours held on Mondays from 2-3PM in the ASUCI Office.

PLEASE NOTE – if you are elected for positions on Senate or Executive Office, you will be required to attend mandatory meetings in the Spring (May) and Fall Quarter (September and October). These dates may fall on a weekend and are required.
