Housing Security Commission
Hello everyone! My name is Kenny Chen and I am an incoming third year Data Science student at UCI this year. My hobbies include reading novels online and playing video games, as well as working out. I joined ASUCI this year because I wanted to make a real difference as your Housing Security Commissioner. This commission values all of UCI’s students and the various housing insecurities they face. We hope that this space will serve as a place students can come to present their housing issues, where the Housing Security Commission can then work proactively on those issues. Students should not have to be worried about housing nor let it interfere with their academic success. We want all students to be heard.
Mission
Through working collaboratively, we plan to:
- Listen to students’ concerns about housing insecurity
- Advocate for students of different socioeconomic backgrounds
- Be diligent in working with and responding to concerns
- Highlight difficulties students face with leasing
Office Hours: Mondays 1-2pm in the ASUCI Office
