Commission Mission
Anteaters in Action (AIA) is a commission dedicated to creating volunteer events and opportunities for the student body on and off campus. We strive to boost student involvement in community service-related campaigns, projects, and initiatives and altogether, spreading volunteerism values. Moreover, we work towards raising awareness of social issues in the community in hopes of creating community service opportunities and exposing community/volunteer based organizations on and off campus.
Commission Goals:
- Organize unique, social-like service events on campus
- Provide service event ideas/opportunities to organizations on campus
- Foster an inclusive, altruistic environment securing relations between the student body, ASUCI, and service values

Hi Everyone! My name is Nathan, and I am currently a third-year Political Science major. First, let me say I am thrilled to be your AIA commissioner this year! I will work with organizations both on and off campus to provide our student body with events and service opportunities that not only help our community, but also align with our interests and career prospects. Advocate for student resources and support various communities at UC Irvine ! The Office of the Internal Vice President advocates for student resources on the administrative level and brings fun and engaging events for students to learn and engage with accessible resources. The office engages in various student resource topics, such as sustainability, student health and wellness, and community service, while also focusing on recruitment and advocating for communities such as international, commuter, and transfer students.
