The Student Center Marquees are a joint project between ASUCI and Student Center & Event Services. ASUCI will manage all requests from Clubs and Organizations, and the Student Center will manage all requests from Departments.
Requirements:
- Image must be 1920 pixels wide x 1080 pixels high or in a relative ratio. Artwork that isn’t submitted within the ratio will not be posted.
- Files must be submitted as either .PNG or .JPEG.
- Maximum file size is 3MB. Larger files must be scaled down.
- Minimum font size for sans serif and serif fonts: 50pt
- Minimum font size for decorative and script fonts: 90pt
- The color of the text and of the background must have enough contrast to be visible in the daylight.
Club Policies (Handled by ASUCI):
- ONLY on campus programs, events, and activities of significant interest to the general student population will be posted on the marquee.
- Student organization sponsored events and programs (not meetings) and Student Government & Student Media sponsored events will be given priority placement. There is no guarantee that every request received will be posted.
- Alcohol may not be advertised.
- No commercial sponsorships. Programs, events, and activities with commercial sponsorship may not use the name of the commercial sponsor in the marquee display.
- No political campaigning of any kind.
- No disrespectful or derogatory language directed toward any individual, organization, department, or school. All posts must comply with the University’s non-discrimination policy.
- Only events with date, time, name/title, and location of the event will be posted.
- Club/Org postings are provided for free by ASUCI.
Department Policies (Handled by Student Center & Event Services):
- Alcohol may not be advertised.
- No commercial sponsorships. Programs, events, and activities with commercial sponsorship may not use the name of the commercial sponsor in the marquee display.

- There is a fee of $90 per week for departments to post on the marquees by Student Center & Event Services. Make sure to provide your KFS number when filling out the form.
Other Information:
- Refrain from having a large amount of text on the design. Screens rotate every 5-9 seconds.
- Include a URL and/or social media handles for students to find more information.
- Only registered clubs/orgs and departments at UCI can post to the Student Center Marquees.
- Artwork can run for a maximum of 2 weeks.
- Please allow 5 business days for artwork to be uploaded to the marquees.
