Heyy Anteaters! My name is Jolynna Dang and I am a second year transfer from Golden West College. I’m currently a business admin major looking to go into student affairs and higher education admin. Last year I was involved with Visions Leadership as a mentee where I worked with my group to develop an all Health Awareness class which will be implemented this school year. I am also in the Vietnamese Student Association and served as the Vietnamese Culture Night Director to host our first show in three years this previous spring. Some fun facts about me are that I love trying new volunteer events, going to the beach, cooking, thrifting and making new friends. I am ecstatic to work with my co in this position to come up with engaging events, activities, and workshops for you guys and to better your transfer experience here on campus. We are always very open to suggestions you may have for what you would like to see us host for transfers and if you see me on campus please stop me and say hi and I would love to meet yalls!

Lusine Melkonyan

Transfer Student Support Commissioner
Hello anteaters! My name is Lusine Melkonyan (she/her/hers) and I will be serving as one of the co-commissioners for the Transfer Student Support Commission (TSSC) for the Office of the Internal Vice President for the 2022-23 school year. I am a fourth-year Biological Sciences major, minoring in Medical Anthropology. I transferred to UCI from Glendale Community College in Fall 2021, and started off in ASUCI during my third-year, as an intern in the S.T.E.A.M. Commission. I am very excited to be working with the transfer community this year and I hope to help create a safe, inclusive, and open space for transfer students here at UCI. Through my role as a commissioner, I want to provide transfer students with the knowledge of resources available at UCI, while helping students develop leadership, networking, and academic skills allowing them to succeed both in academics and in their careers. Along with my other duties as commissioner, I’m looking forward to working with the mentors and mentees of the Student Transfer Engagement Access Mentorship (STEAM) Program, to help ease transfer shock for incoming transfer students. For the upcoming school year, I’m excited to host the fun socials and events for transfer students we have planned, and can’t wait to connect with other students!
Office Hours: Tuesday 3-4 pm
