Hello! My name is Myah Gibbs, I’m a 5th year Biological Sciences Major pursuing a Spanish Minor, and I’m so excited to serve the Undergraduate Student Body as one of your Concert Engagement Co-Commissioners for the 2025-2026 school year! I have always been passionate about music and have enjoyed developing a deep appreciation for live music over the past couple of years. When I’m not studying, I spend most of my time working as an Ophthalmic Medical Technician, working at the ARC, and conducting research within the department of Developmental and Cell Biology. In my actual free time I enjoy cooking and trying new restaurants and coffee shops, reading, beach sunsets, and of course going to concerts. My favorite performers I’ve been able to see at UCI have been JID, Flo Milli and Wallows, and my favorite concert memory of all time has to be Baby Keem bringing out Kendrick Lamar at Coachella (…or honestly any Coachella set from that year lol)!

Commission Mission

Mission:

  • The Concert Engagement Commission will prioritize a safe atmosphere during our events to maximize student satisfaction.
  • The Concert Engagement Commission will value student feedback to continually improve and sustain our events.
  • The Concert Engagement Commission will maintain an inclusive and open communication in order to reflect UCI’s diverse student body.

Vision: The Concert Engagement Commission aspires to use music and memorable experiences as a means to connect fellow anteaters.

The Office of the Student Services Vice President promotes student engagement and participation by planning and executing the largest, campus-wide events for the UCI undergraduate community. SSVP works closely with UCI staff and departments as well as other students on campus to provide programing that best represents the needs and wants of undergraduate students.
