Vibhas Ippili is a fourth-year transfer student pursuing a B.S. in Psychology (Pre-Med), where he serves as the Academic Engagement Director for ASUCI within the Academic Affairs office. He earned his Associate of Science in Psychological Sciences from Irvine Valley College, where he was a member of the Honors Program and the Dean’s List. Vibhas is currently a member of the STEP Lab, researching how social determinants and lived experiences shape cognitive and behavioral health outcomes, and also conducts research in the Xu Lab on choroid plexus biology, TGFβ-driven fibrosis, and AAV-mediated gene delivery. His experience in the Emergency Room at Kaiser Permanente has shaped his interest in patient-centered care and real-world healthcare systems. Outside of academics, he enjoys tennis, music production, and creative projects like painting and making YouTube videos. Vibhas is passionate about bridging research, service, and student advocacy on his path toward medical school.
