Hi hi Anteaters, hope everyone’s having a great school year so far!
My name is Jun Jang, I’m a 5th year Asian American Studies and Political Science double major (hoping to minor in Public Health), and I’m excited to serve as an Academic Senate Representative for the 2024-2025 academic year! I’ve been a part of our student government since my first year at UCI, starting my advocacy journey in ASUCI as an Organizing Staffer under the Office of the External Vice President – fighting for affirmative action, college affordability, housing security, and a more sustainable and ethical dining service on campus. I’ve been around for a while, so if you’re ever interested in getting involved, feel free to reach out!
Outside of ASUCI (which is pretty rare for me haha), I chair our campus’ Student Fee Advisory Committee and Student Health Insurance Advisory Committee, work at our Basic Needs Center as a Basic Needs Advocate, and perform with Hansori at UCI, our campus’ Korean traditional drumming club! Chances are, you’ll likely see me around campus running from meeting to meeting with a matcha latte in hand, so feel free to say hi – I’m always down to connect :D
