Southeast Asian Identity Commission Description:
The Southeast Asian Identity Commission under the Council on Diversity and Equity is an identity based commission that aims to serve the southeast asian student body at UCI. The commission works closely with ASUCI and with campus resources and departments to uplift and empower students through events and initiatives. These events range from networking and professional development to heritage awareness and celebration.
The Southeast Asian Identity Commission Intern will work closely with the Southeast Asian Identity Commissioner and Coordinator, providing essential support in promoting and enhancing the representation of Southeast Asian identities at UCI. The intern's responsibilities include helping in events, such as setting up, bringing required items, executing tasks, giving suggestions, distributing supplies, and any additional responsibilities within reason.
General Intern Expectations:
-Attend weekly team meetings and ALL-ASUCI events/meetings.
-Collaborate with other interns to successfully plan and host commission initiatives.
-Build a community for people to join and feel comfortable in.
