Started in 2020 by one of the At-Large Senators at the time and preceded by the Anteater Resilience Grant, the Anteater Safety Net Grant (ASNG) began as a COVID-19 grant to support students struggling financially due to the pandemic. Since then, the grant has shifted to serve students and help them succeed by providing them with funds to fulfill their basic needs! We’re excited to do the work to make sure that students thrive throughout their educational journey! Meet the members of the ASNG Committee below!

Applications for the 2024-2025 cycle of the Anteater Safety Net Grant will open in the Fall! If you’re facing financial difficulties, ASUCI is here to help! This year, 50 students will be awarded $1,000 per person through the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships to help afford their basic needs. To be eligible for the grant, you must:

  • Have at least a 2.8 GPA
  • Be a full-time/part-time undergraduate student at UCI for Winter Quarter
  • Not be a paid member of ASUCI
