Personal Facts/Passions:

A fun fact about me is that I was once able to do a one-handed, three-finger push-up, although I cannot do it anymore. I enjoy hiking, boxing, and playing video games. Recently, I have been playing Valorant in my free time.

Why did you join ASUCI?:

I joined ASUCI because I want to make a meaningful difference at UCI and help students reach their full potential. I am especially interested in creating opportunities and resources that support students both academically and personally.

Goals:

My goals for the 2025–2026 school year focus on improving both student support and the academic experience. I want to make the transition into UCI smoother for incoming students, whether first-years or transfers, by providing clearer guidance on course selection, class combinations, and navigating enrollment.

Additionally, I hope to collaborate with faculty and administration to explore improvements to current grading practices. As learning environments continue to evolve, I am interested in promoting a growth-based approach that emphasizes mastery over high-stakes testing. This could include systems that allow students multiple opportunities to demonstrate understanding, rather than relying heavily on a single exam to determine performance.
