What Does ASUCI Do?

Advocacy

As your student government, ASUCI is dedicated to advocating for the undergraduate student body at the University, local, state, and federal levels!

Club Funding

ASUCI oversees the Student Programming Funding Board (SPFB), a funding board by students, for students that can award up to $10,000 for RCO events.

Entertainment

APAD! Homecoming! Summerlands! From large-scale concerts to cozy movie screenings, ASUCI brings you the entertainment necessary for a vibrant college experience.

Representation

ASUCI’s elected officials are the main representatives for UC Irvine undergraduates! We also appoint students to a variety of UCI boards, committees, and councils.

Services

ASUCI offers a variety of direct services to students, from the Anteater Express to the Vendor Fair!

Senate Updates

The Senate is the Legislative Branch of ASUCI, a representative body composed of elected and appointed students from each academic school. The Senate is responsible for approving the ASUCI budget for the fiscal year, approving or rejecting any legislation that is brought to them, approving or rejecting recommendations for amending the governing documents of ASUCI (such as the ASUCI Constitution), and more. The members are also responsible for meeting with the Dean of their respective schools at least once per quarter and hosting weekly office hours to address any concerns their constituents may have.

Make your voice heard! The Senate meets regularly on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:00pm. All Senate meetings are open, and students are strongly encouraged to attend. Meetings are held in Balboa Island B, on the fourth floor of the Student Center, or over Zoom.

To attend a Senate meeting virtually, access the Zoom link here.
