Hello friends! My name is Ella Leus (she/her), and I’m a third-year Biological Sciences major on a pre-dental track.

After my first volunteer shift at the Ants in Your Plants garden, I walked away ecstatic, rewarded with a bag full of fresh snow peas. I hope to give similar first impressions to others that come by. As your Garden Co-Commissioner, I look forward to collaborating with philanthropic and sustainable organizations to nurture an educational and community-centered garden experience. It’s incredibly rewarding to connect with the garden and see others get excited about growing. Come garden with us!

Hello every~nyan! My name is Gia Uy Ngo (he/him). I am a second-year Environmental Engineering major. As one of your Garden Commissioners, I am in charge of bringing forth the Kihay Native Garden in Middle Earth Housing. With that, you can expect many volunteer and educational opportunities!

With my experience in landscape design and horticulture, I will create a space for students to come together, relax, and soak in nature! For all my life, gardening has been a way for me to connect with a community and I look forward to bringing this to the UC Irvine student body.
