Under Article IX, Section 3.d. of the ASUCI Constitution, the External Student Advocate General has the power:

1. To educate the undergraduate student body on their rights, ASUCI, UC, and UC Irvine policies, including student conduct policies; state and federal laws, regulations, procedures;
2. To promote awareness of the services offered by this Office; and
3. To represent student voices that have not been adequately represented in the Senate.
