INTERNAL STUDENT ADVOCATE GENERAL
Under Article IX, Section 3.c. of the ASUCI Constitution, the Internal Student Advocate General has the power:
- To mediate disputes and complaints within ASUCI, in a nonÂpartisan manner;
- To create communication channels for students to anonymously report cases where misuse of student funds is suspected, both online and by other means;
- To provide opportunities for student suggestions to influence which projects, programs, departments, or offices it audits each year;
- To conduct audits of ASUCI offices suspected of violation of ASUCI, UC, or UC Irvine policies, in particular those pertaining to student rights;
- To receive grievances from undergraduate students regarding ASUCI officials and operations and to take actions to remedy such grievances; and
- To recommend remedial measures to ASUCI offices regarding students’ right to information.

- Ensure privacy within investigations while abiding by confidentiality mandates
- Make full use of the Governance and Internal Policy Committee
- Actively communicate with the Association to make necessary recommendations and changes to our governing documents
INTERNAL & ACCOUNTABILITY DEPUTIES
Internal & Accountability Deputies are paid staff members of ASUCI that serve under both the Internal Student Advocate General and the Chief Accountability Officer. These student leaders assist with receiving complaints, handling investigations, and other duties assigned to them by their supervising Officers.

- More accountability within ASUCI student body and associated organizations by implementing regular audits/reviews
- Implementing conflict resolution training for leaders within ASUCI so that they are equipped to notice and de escalate conflict at the first signs
- Allowing more feedback loops from students within ASUCI to voice their concerns and making sure leaders are being held accountable for their actions.
